Community Support

Community Support
Home Front Project

We have a long, proud history of giving back to the communities where we live and work.

Ives Bank places great importance on investing in the communities which we work and live. Though sponsorships and volunteering the Bank makes a  positive impact by providing much-needed resources and support. As an organization, Ives Bank logged over 4,300 volunteer hours in 2023.

We continue to support several local organizations. Employees participated in the annual United Way of Western Connecticut and Greater Waterbury Day of Action and a team of employees participated in the UWWC King of the Hill 5K. New in 2023, we participated in the Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation Butterfly Party and 5K race for Catherine.

SBD is committed to supporting local food banks and helping to alleviate food insecurity in our community. In 2023 we continue to support the Daily Bread, Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County food pantries. Our employees supported the UW of Greater Waterbury Stock the Pantry Food Drive and Camping for Cans collecting over 500 lbs of food. Employees volunteer monthly with the Community Food Rescue a program of the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut providing seniors with over 60 lbs of groceries and fresh produce.

Mentoring plays an important role at SBD. A few of those program include Danbury School and Business Collaborative, Danbury Youth Services Summer Employment Program, Women’s Mentoring Network, Waterbury Boys and Girls Club, Junior Achievement.
